1Information We Collect
Account information
Your name, email address, and the password you set when you create an account.
Financial information you upload
The bank and card statements you upload (PDF or CSV) and the transaction data inside them, such as dates, descriptions, amounts, and account names. This is used to categorize your transactions and build your reports. We do not ask for and do not need your online banking login credentials.
Information you create in the app
The categories, rules, edits, budgets, and notes you set, and the reports and dashboards generated from your data.
Technical and usage data
Basic information collected automatically, such as device and browser type, app version, IP address, and how you use the app, along with diagnostic and crash data that helps us fix problems.
2How We Use Your Information
- Read and categorize your transactions and build your reports, dashboards, and exports.
- Learn the categories and rules you prefer so your results improve over time.
- Create and secure your account and provide customer support.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the app.
- Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues.
- Meet our legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
We do not sell your financial data, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with advertisers.
3Automated Processing and AI
FNF Expenses uses automated processing to read your statements and sort transactions into categories. To do this we may use trusted third-party processing providers, including AI providers, that act on our behalf under contract and confidentiality obligations and are permitted to use your data only to provide this service to you. Your financial data is not used to train third-party public AI models. You can review and change any category the system assigns.
4How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal or financial information. We share it only with the providers that help us run the service and where the law requires:
- Infrastructure: Google Firebase hosts the app and stores your data on our behalf.
- Processing providers: the automated and AI processing providers described in section 3, acting under confidentiality.
- Payment provider: if you pay for a subscription, our payment processor handles the payment. We do not store your full card number.
- Legal reasons: to comply with the law or lawful requests, or to protect our rights, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers: if FNF is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may transfer to the new owner under this policy.
5Data Retention and Deletion
We keep your data for as long as your account is active so the app works for you. You can delete individual statements and their data from within the app at any time. To delete your entire account and all associated data, email info@fnfapp.com, and we will delete it within 30 days, except for limited records we are required to keep by law.
6Data Security
We take the security of financial data seriously. The app runs on Google Firebase, which encrypts data in transit and at rest and follows industry-standard security practices. We limit who can access your data internally. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we work hard to protect your information.
7Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, correct it, export it, or delete it. To make a request, email info@fnfapp.com. We may need to confirm your identity first.
8Age
FNF Expenses is intended for adults managing their own finances and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
9International Users
FNF Technologies Inc. is based in North America, and your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. By using the app, you consent to this transfer.
10Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
